Same-game parlays (SGP) are all the rage in the sports betting world for good reason. You can put risk a little to win a lot.

SGP’s are the perfect way to attack Tuesday’s NBA Play-In Tournament slate as the two games are scheduled two and a half hours a part. This way, you can you have your first wager completely settled before the second game tips off, hopefully giving you more cash to fire again in the nightcap.

The first contest on Tuesday’s slate features Brooklyn hosting Cleveland, and that’s the matchup we’ll focus on for this same-game parlay.

Nets vs Cavaliers Odds

Team Moneyline Spread Total
Cleveland Cavaliers +300 +8.5 (-110) O 228.5 (-110)
Brooklyn Nets -400 -8.5 (-110) U 228.5 (-110)

All odds as of April 11th at DraftKings.

The Nets opened up as a 8.5-point favorite, in a contest that features a total of 228.5. Neither the spread or the total stand out as options to attack, and while Brooklyn should be able to beat the Cavs for the fourth time this season, there’s not much value in laying -400 on the moneyline.

Instead, this SGP will be all player prop driven. The player props market is full of value, and there’s some correlation you can implement by targeting a strong game for Andre Drummond.

Drummond feasted on Cleveland when he faced them last Friday, and is filling a big role in the middle with LaMarcus Aldridge basically being phased out of meaningful minutes.

Drummond has been a rebounding machine his entire career, but has also found his scoring touch recently. He’s averaging 17.5 points per game over his past two outings, which includes a 15-point performance against the Cavs. He’s reached at least 13 points in 10 of his past 16 contests, and draws an easier matchup on Tuesday with Cleveland missing Jarrett Allen yet again. 11 or more points for Drummond is the first leg of our SGP.

The second leg also features Drummond. As mentioned, he’s earning more and more minutes thanks to Aldridge’s demise which means more opportunities for blocks. He’s recorded at least two swats five times since early March and is a problem at the defensive end for Cavs rookie Evan Mobley. Let’s add 2 or more blocks for Drummond to our SGP.

Speaking of Mobley, his rebounding numbers have been a colossal disappointment against Brooklyn this season. He’s failed to reach eight rebounds in both meetings so far, and is giving up nearly 65 pounds to Drummond. Good luck boxing him out. Under 9.5 rebounds for Mobley is the next leg of our SGP.

Sticking with Cleveland rebounders, it’s never a bad idea to fade Darius Garland on the glass. Garland is averaging just 3.3 rebounds per contest this season, and has failed to reach four boards in 13 of his past 22 games. In his last meeting against the Nets, he was shut out on the glass. Under 3.5 rebounds for him is the fourth leg of our SGP.

Last, but not least, let’s target 3 or more three’s for Lauri Markkanen. The Cavs sharpshooter is shooting 36% from downtown this season, and hasn’t been shy about launching three’s recently. He’s taken 31 three’s over the past four games, knocking down 16 of them (51.6%). With Cleveland likely to be trailing, look for him to get a few more opportunities from long range in catch up mode. 3 or more threes for Markkanen is the last leg of our SGP.
