Tuesday’s MLB schedule features a full 15-game slate, meaning all 30 teams are in action. The schedule starts with Boston vs Detroit at 1:10 pm ET and wraps up with San Diego vs San Francisco at 6:45 pm ET.

The table below lists the best same-game parlay bets for today.

MLB Same-Game Parlays for Tuesday, April 12

All odds as of 11:52 am ET, April 12.

Guardians vs Reds Same-Game Parlay

Today’s first SGP is a popular NRFI bet combined with the lest popular NR2 in Cleveland vs Cincinnati (4:10 pm ET). The bottom line here is that I love both starting pitchers and am not enamoured with either offense, even though Cleveland has racked up 27 runs in its past two games.

Shane Bieber takes the mound for Cleveland against Tyler Mahle for Cincinnati. Bieber only managed 4.2 innings in his first outing of the season, but that was more about rest. He surrendered just one run on three hits. He currently sits second in the AL Cy Young odds.

Mahle was brilliant on Opening Day, holding the World Series-champion Braves to three hits and no runs with seven strikeouts over five innings.

Add in a slight wind blowing in at Great American Ballpark and +180 for a scoreless first two innings is enticing.

Parlay: No runs 1st inning + no runs 2nd inning (+180)

Cubs vs Pirates SGP

The second same-game parlay for today is over 8.5 in Chicago vs Pittsburgh (4:12 pm ET) along with Cubs starter Drew Smyly to not record a win.

This is Smyly’s first start of the season and the chances of him lasting a full five innings are not great to start with. He was working out of the pen to end last season (with Atlanta) and, even in his final eight starts of 2021, only went five-plus innings three times.

All three Cubs games this season have landed on exactly nine runs, and those three game against Milwaukee’s excellent staff/bullpen. Chicago is averaging 6.0 runs per game through three contests.

The Pirates first series of the year (at St Louis) saw an average of  10 runs per game and they are trotting out veteran Jose Quintana for his first start of the season.  Don’t expect him to be terribly effective or go terribly deep.

Once the bullpens enter the game, do expect some runs. Both of these pens ranked bottom-ten in the MLB in ERA last season (4.39 for CHC, 4.55 for PIT).

Cubs vs Pirates Parlay: Over 8.5 runs + Drew Smyly not to record a win (+155)

Padres vs Giants Same-Game Parlay

The final same-game parlay for today comes in the San Diego vs San Francisco matchup (9:45 pm ET), which sees Yu Darvish for the Padres facing Alex Cobb for the Giants. San Francisco is a slight -113 favorite over San Diego.

I’m fading the hot-hand with Darvish here. The 35-year-old held Arizona scoreless over six innings on Opening Day, but don’t let that mislead you. He only recorded three strikeouts and gave up nine flyballs to just six ground balls.

Darvish is also coming off one of his worst seasons in the majors. He finished 2021 with a 4.22 ERA and 92 ERA+.

The weather in the Bay Area is calling for a hitter-friendly wind. If Darvish is giving up flyballs with regularity again, some of them are going to leave the park.

His career numbers against this Giants lineup are not encouraging, either. All told, the SF hitters have a 3.68 OPB and .828 OPS against Darvish.

Padres vs Giants Parlay: Giants +1.5 + Giants Over 3.5 Runs (+112)
