- Read on for the odds, spread, preview, and picks
Two teams still trying to lock down the best spot possible in the Eastern Conference playoff race will battle it out on Tuesday, April 5th as the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks take a trip to the Windy City to face the Chicago Bulls.
Tip-off is scheduled for 8pm ET at the United Center.
Milwaukee has hit a cold spell, losing two in a row to the Clippers and Mavs, respectively. As for the Bulls, they most recently fell to the Miami Heat on Saturday at home, despite a 33-point night from Zach LaVine.
The Bucks are dominating Chicago this season, winning all three meetings heading into their final game against each other.
Bucks vs Bulls Odds
Team | Spread | Moneyline | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Milwaukee Bucks | -4 (-120) | -182 | OFF |
Chicago Bulls | +4 (-103) | +148 | OFF |

Giannis Antetokounmpo and Co. are a 4-point road favorite but they’re just 19-17 ATS away this season.
Bucks Betting Outlook
Two losses aren’t a big deal, especially since Giannis and Khris Middleton sat the other night as the Clippers shellacked Milwaukee.
But as the Bucks sit just half a game behind the Boston Celtics for second spot in the East, Tuesday’s game is definitely important for their playoff seeding. When it comes to Sunday’s defeat to Dallas, it was Luka Doncic who single-handedly cooked Mike Budenholzer’s squad.
The Mavs spoiled the Bucks’ Sunday afternoon.

The Mavs star dropped 32 points and dished out 15 assists, scoring or assisting on his team’s first 11 points in the fourth period alone. The Greek Freak and Middleton were back in the lineup for Milwaukee, but the latter was quiet, scoring just 11.
Antetokounmpo, a distant third in the latest 2022 NBA MVP odds, led the group with 28 points and 10 boards.
While Doncic certainly did his damage, the Bucks struggled to contain essentially the whole Dallas rotation, with their starting five all registering at least 11 points apiece.
Nevertheless, Milwaukee is going to carry confidence into Tuesday after having their way with the Bulls throughout the campaign. It’s extremely crucial they find momentum here too because the Celtics are up next on Thursday.

Bulls Betting Outlook
There’s absolutely no doubt Chicago has been a breath of fresh air in 2021-22 after bringing in the likes of DeMar DeRozan, Alex Caruso, Lonzo Ball, and others.
While injuries are playing a part in their recent struggles, one thing is clear: The Bulls can’t seem to beat the teams who will pose a threat come playoff time. Billy Donovan’s group is an atrocious 2-19 against top-eight clubs in the Association after Saturday’s loss to the East-leading Heat. It’s part of the reason they’re just sixth in the odds to win the Eastern Conference.
The Bulls record against the top 8 teams in the league:
Suns: 0-2
Grizzlies: 0-2
Heat: 0-3
Warriors: 0-2
Bucks: 0-3
Jazz: 1-1
76ers: 0-4
Celtics: 1-1Total record: 2-18 pic.twitter.com/mb9rbb7gTB

The Bulls are in a serious rut right now as well, going just 4-6 in their last 10 contests. The Heat matchup was truly just a poor showing all-around, shooting just 26% from deep and 43% from the field.
Chicago couldn’t stop Miami from hitting shots either as they drained a whopping 50% of their triples. After dropping a 50-piece just a couple of nights before, DeRozan compiled just 26 points this time around. LaVine’s 33 were about the only other bright spot offensively.
If there was a time to beat a top-5 team, it would be Tuesday. It does help the Bulls are 27-11 at home this season, but it will not be easy shutting down Giannis and a very well-rounded Bucks attack. A loss here and a Raptors win could potentially drop the Bulls into sixth place as well.
Bucks vs Bulls Prediction
I honestly have no belief in the Bulls against any squad in the playoff race.
Plus, Milwaukee has beaten them by an average of 12.6 points across their three matchups, most recently securing a huge 28-point victory in March. I don’t see the Bucks coming out flat again here. They’ll cover.
Pick: Bucks -4 (-112)
