Pittsburgh Betting Outlook

Pitt sophomore guard Femi Odukale scored 22 of his game-high 25 points in the second half for his second straight 20-point game and fourth of the season. However, it wasn’t quite enough.

Odukale also had six steals while shooting 8 of 11 from the field, including 5 of 7 from beyond the arc. He is averaging 12.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists a game.

Sophomore forward John Hugley had one of his worst games of the season with two points and four rebounds in 29 minutes. He has season averages of 14.3 points and 8.7 rebounds a game and is fifth in the ACC in boards.

The Panthers, though, covered for just the second time in six game as seven-point underdogs as they improved to 12-11 against the spread in 2021-22. They are 4-4 in road games.

Senior guard Jamarius Burton made 9 of 13 field goal attempts and contributed 21 points, six rebounds and four assists. It was fifth 20-point game of the season and 16th straight in double figures.

A transfer from Texas Tech, Burton had a 13.5 scoring average.

Senior forward Mouhamadou Gueye, a Stony Brook transfer, added 13 points. He is fourth in the conference with 1.9 blocked shots a game.

Virginia Tech Betting Outlook

Virginia Tech is 11-12 ATS this season but 6-4 at home.

Senior guard Storm Murphy established a season high for a second straight game with 20 points Saturday night. The Wofford transfer shot 7 of 10 from the field, 3 of 6 from distance, and dished four assists.

Over the final eight minutes, Murphy scored 10 points to help Virginia Tech hold on.
