Odds as of Feb 8th at FanDuel Sportsbook

Despite facing an elite Phoenix defense, Joel Embiid has the highest points line on Tuesday night at 30.5. The MVP odds favorite Embiid has passed 31 points in seven of his last eight.

Lakers Need Less Russ Shooting, More LeBron Assisting

LeBron James returned from injury with an emphatic performance, including a triple-double. The Lakers are gradually reducing Russell Westbrook’s role, benching him in crunch time and Frank Vogel ultimately will have to reduce his minutes. Westbrook’s ball handling has dropped off over the last few weeks, reflected in fewer turnovers and assists.

James’ assist rate has crept up of late, sitting at 32.6% over his last 10 appearances, which is a couple of percentage points above his season average. In what could turn out to be a tight game against Milwaukee, the four-time MVP is going to have the ball in his hands a lot.

Printable Super Bowl 56 Props Sheet

While the Bucks have a reputation as a great defensive team, they are marginally below average in defensive rating over the last 10. Scoring shouldn’t be a problem for the Lakers, opening up plenty of opportunities for LeBron to rack up assists.

James has only recorded seven or more assists in two of his last eight. Still, this over looks a decent bet after a playmaking masterclass against the Knicks.

  • Pick: LeBron James over 6.5 assists (-118)

Houston Can’t Stop Ingram

Brandon Ingram scored 73 points across his first two games against the Rockets this season. One of those games was a 33-point gem just a couple of days ago with the former Laker getting up 21 shots and taking nine free throws.

Houston owns the league’s worst defense on the season and by a distance at that. Boosted by Ingram’s outburst two nights ago, the Pels are top 10 in offense over the last three games, with Ingram scoring 26, 23 and 33 over that span.

New Orleans isn’t the most potent offensive team in the Association, but Ingram is the hub of everything they do. His usage rate ranks above James Harden and Damian Lillard this season.

Not thought of as a prolific foul-drawer, Ingram is at 5.7 free throw attempts per game on the season. This has increased to seven per game over his last 10. There should be a lot of easy points available against a Rockets defense which ranks 25th in opponent free throws per field goal attempt.

The Rockets have had no answer for Ingram this season – take the over.

  • Pick: Brandon Ingram over 24.5 points (-116)
