Tuesday night brings a divisional matchup between California rivals as the Los Angeles Clippers visit the Golden State Warriors at the Chase Center. The tip-off is scheduled for 10pm ET.

The Clippers have been playing relatively well lately, going 7-3 in their last 10. However, they’re coming off a blowout loss to the lowly New York Knicks Sunday at home. The Dubs, meanwhile, lost the first game of a back-to-back Monday to Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets.

This is already the fourth meeting of the campaign between the two teams, with the Warriors going 2-1 thus far.

Golden State is a clear 7-point favorite for Tuesday’s matchup and has gone a stellar 26-7 on home court this season.

Clippers Betting Outlook

When both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George went down with injuries, absolutely nobody expected the Clippers to actually stay afloat.

Well, Ty Lue’s squad has truly proved all the doubters wrong. They’re comfortably in eighth place at the moment which means LA would face the No. 7 seed Timberwolves in the play-in tournament.

Also, PG is starting to get shots up and could potentially return in the near future, which would be huge for this team.

The Clips were on a five-game winning streak heading into Sunday, including a pair of wins over the slumping Lakers.

But the Knicks dominated them to snap the unbeaten streak. Los Angeles never led in the game and trailed by as many as 32 at one point.

In every way imaginable, the Clippers were outplayed. They shot well under 40% overall and drained a mere 32% of their triples while getting bodied inside, with New York outscoring them 50-36.

The offense severely struggled, with Amir Coffey leading the way with just 16 points. Reggie Jackson, who has been a star for LA this season, dropped just 10 after a 36-point performance last week against the Lakers. He’ll need to be a lot better on Tuesday if they’re going to upset the Warriors.

Warriors Betting Outlook

Golden State may still be at 43-21, but the squad is playing extremely poorly right now.

Monday’s defeat extended their losing skid to five while posting a 2-8 record in the last 10 games. The absence of Draymond Green is really hurting them, but the two-way star is eyeing a return on March 14th from his back injury.

That date can’t come soon enough for the Warriors, who need Draymond’s defense, leadership, and playmaking badly.

Monday night’s contest was another underwhelming performance from Steve Kerr’s group, losing 131-124 to Denver.  It was the fourth game in a row the Warriors’ defense gave up more than 120 points, as they struggled mightily to contain Jokic and Co.

While Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Andrew Wiggins didn’t play due to rest, it was promising to see the young guns step up. Jordan Poole balled out for a team-high 32 points and rookie Moses Moody erupted for a career-high 30 points. He also drained five triples.

Shooting-wise, Golden State did make it rain, sinking 51% of their field-goal attempts. It simply came down to the lack of defense, with the Nuggets dishing out a ridiculous 39 assists in the game which resulted in countless easy baskets. The Dubs will be anticipating the return of Steph, Klay, and Wiggins on Tuesday as they look to end this brutal streak.

Clippers vs Warriors Prediction

I do think Golden State is going to come out fresh here, especially because their Big 3 will likely all be back on the court.

Also, the Clippers are just 15-18 on the road. The value will be in the Warriors’ moneyline though because I do have a feeling Los Angeles will make this competitive and lose by less than the spread.

Pick: Warriors moneyline (-295), Clippers ATS +7 (-110)
