Marquette avenged an 80-71 loss at Xavier in the Big East opener Dec. 18 with a 75-64 home victory over the Musketeers on Jan. 23, the sixth victory in its seven-game streak.
Others can do that, too. Providence’s 65-63 home victory over Marquette on Saturday repaid its worst loss of the season, an 88-56 loss in Milwaukee on Jan. 4, the Golden Eagles’ largest margin of victory this season.

Second-year freshman 6’7 Lewis is averaging 16.5 points and 7.9 rebounds on the season, numbers that are creeping up. He has four 20-point games in the last eight, including a career-high 33 points in a win over Seton Hall last Wednesday, three weeks after a then-career high 23 in a win over Providence.
