The 43-10 Phoenix Suns finish up their East Coast road swing on Tuesday night in the city of Brotherly Love as they face MVP frontrunner Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers. The tip-off is scheduled for 7 PM EST at Wells Fargo Center.

Phoenix took care of the Chicago Bulls on Monday in the first game of a back-to-back thanks to a 38-point performance from the always lethal Devin Booker. The Sixers also beat the Bulls on Sunday as Embiid continued his torrid run since the turn of the year.

Phoenix Suns +2 (-110) +110 OFF
Philadelphia 76ers -2 (-110) -130 OFF

The Sixers are a slim 2-point favorite here but they’re just 14-11 at home this season.

Embiid’s Brilliance Keeping Sixers in The Mix

Philadelphia is undoubtedly a very good team that has a variety of different players doing their part, but Embiid is easily the number one reason they’re 32-21 at the moment. The Cameroonian big man is leading the NBA in scoring with 29.3 points per game and he’s averaging well over 30 per night since 2022 rolled around.

No matter the opponent, Embiid is balling out every single game. It was no different on Sunday as the Sixers beat the Bulls for the 10th straight time behind 40 points and 10 rebounds from their franchise star. Embiid was bodying Nikola Vucevic all night long and also shot an impressive 50% from three-point land. However, he did get lots of help as well, with the entire first unit finishing in double figures, except for Danny Green.

Doc Rivers’ squad shot the lights out in every way imaginable, draining 50% of their triples and shooting 54% overall. Chicago didn’t make it easy though as they shortened a 17-point lead to just four in the final quarter, but Philly managed to hold on with solid defense in the dying minutes.

Who Can Stop Phoenix?

The Suns continue to prove they’re easily the best team in the Association, winning nine of their last 10. Despite dealing with numerous absences over the last month, Phoenix still has no problem getting it done as numerous role players have stepped up alongside Booker and Chris Paul.

It was another victory on Monday for Monty Williams’ group in Chicago, but it did come down to the wire. The Suns went into the fourth quarter with a massive 27-point lead but were outscored 41-25 in the final period, with the Bulls eventually losing by only three points, 127-124. It was unlike Phoenix’s defense to let an opponent claw their way back like that, but nonetheless, the Suns put together a fine team performance.

Every single starter ended with 10 points or more, with Booker’s 38 leading the way. CP3 also dropped 18 points and dished out 11 of the team’s 31 assists on the night, which helped them shoot over 50% from the field. When you have a roster who can all get buckets like Phoenix, it goes to show why they’re such a force to be reckoned with and a heavy favorite to make it back to the Finals.

Suns vs 76ers Prediction

Even though Phoenix almost blew it in Chicago, this team is still legit. The Sixers are playing well right now, but the Suns are 20-5 on the road and frankly aren’t losing ballgames. Surprisingly, the visitors are an underdog here so the moneyline offers the most value.

Pick: Suns +110
