If you’re a basketball fan, Sunday has to be one of the best days on the calendar so far this year. Not only is there a bevy of conference title games on deck in the college world, but the NBA is also rolling out an eight-game slate loaded with matinees.

Three of the eight contests on the schedule will tip-off by 3:30pm ET, and the slate is packed with star power. Kevin Durant, Luka Doncic, Jayson Tatym, Joel Embiid, James Harden, Ja Morant, Devin Booker and LeBron James are just a handful of the marquee names suiting up, and we’ll start our player props card with the first matchup of the day between the Knicks and Nets.

Pick #1: Seth Curry Over 2.5 Threes

Sunday’s tilt takes place in Brooklyn which means Kyrie Irving isn’t eligible to play for the Nets due to his vaccination status. With him out of the lineup, we should see more opportunity for Seth Curry, one of the NBA’s premier three-point shooters.

Curry enters play shooting a blistering 45.2% from three this season. The Knicks vs Nets total currently sits at 224.5, while Brooklyn has averaged 130.5 points per outing over its last two games.

Curry has splashed seven triples during that stretch and has exceeded 2.5 threes 12 times already in 2022. The last time he faced New York, he buried six of nine long-range attempts, and he’s taken at least 10 shots in every single home game since joining the Nets.

With the majority of the defensive attention on Kevin Durant, expect plenty of open looks for Curry on Sunday.

• Pick: Seth Curry Over 2.5 Three’s (-110)

Pick #2: Al Horford Under 8.5 Rebounds

Our next target is under 8.5 rebounds for Al Horford. The Celtics veteran is averaging under 8 boards per game this season, and has seen a large chunk of the rebounding duties passed over to Robert Williams III.

WIlliams is averaging over 10.5 boards in 2022 so far, which has prevented Horford from exceeding 8 rebounds in six of his past 10 games. Throw in the fact that Boston is red-hot, having won five in a row, and is a 6-point favorite over Dallas, and there’s a chance Horford’s minutes are reduced if the Celtics race out to a big lead.

Horford is averaging under 29 minutes per contest for just the second season in his career, so any hit to his playing time drastically reduces the chances of him eclipsing this prop.
