Man City comes into this game in good shape after a 1-0 win in midweek in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie against Atletico Madrid. The win over Atleti was hard-earned, and for long periods it looked like ending goalless, but with 20 minutes remaining a perfectly timed and weighted through-ball from Phil Foden gave Kevin De Bruyne the chance to fire City ahead.

While City’s dip at the turn of the year was a relatively minor one, it was enough to throw what looked almost certain to be a sixth Premier League title into the melting pot. However, that one-point lead, if they manage to avoid defeat on Sunday, remains significant as it means that their fate remains in their own hands. And if they do manage to get the win, a four-point lead with just seven games to go would be a great position to be in.

The evening in Lisbon got off to the perfect start for Liverpool with Ibrahima Konaté giving them a 17th-minute lead, with Sadio Mane making it 2-0 before the halftime whistle. The Portuguese side rallied in the early stages of the second period and pulled one back through Darwin Nunez but Luis Diaz made it 3-1 with three minutes remaining.
