The red-hot Miami Heat hit the road on Wednesday to face Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks at Fiserv Forum. The tip-off is scheduled for 8 PM EST.

Miami notched their fourth win in a row on Monday against the Chicago Bulls in convincing fashion, beating them 112-99. As for the Bucks, they blew out the Charlotte Hornets by 24 points on home court after a disappointing loss to the depleted Brooklyn Nets over the weekend.

This is already the fourth Heat vs Bucks meeting of the campaign, with the Miani going 2-1 thus far.

Milwaukee is a 5-point home favorite here but they’ve only covered in one of their last three contests.

Miami is Thriving

The Heat have dealt with their fair share of injuries and absences this season, but through all of it, they’ve remained level-headed and continue to win ballgames. Now that Miami is almost at full strength, Erik Spoelstra’s squad is flourishing. Coming into Wednesday, the Heat are 9-1 in their last 10 games, and their last victory over the Bulls, who are right on their heels in the East, made a loud statement.

As Kyle Lowry remains out due to personal reasons, Gabe Vincent got the start on Monday and essentially led the way, dropping 20 points while going 4 for 8 from long range. But Miami’s well-rounded offense also did their part. Five different players in total finished in double-digits, including Jimmy Butler, who had 15.

The Heat dished out a total of 28 assists on the night and that resulted in a lot of good looks for the entire rotation, who shot 39% from beyond the arc and 49% from the field. It was simply a dominant performance for Miami against a very good Bulls team, leading by as many as 24 at one point. While they won’t have Lowry again on Wednesday, Vincent has proven that he is more than capable of stepping up to the plate and running the point.

Bucks Looking to Build Off Big Win

Milwaukee hasn’t been very consistent in 2021/22, sitting just 12 games above .500. The Nets shocked them on Saturday with Kyrie Irving doing a lot of the damage all on his own for a shorthanded Brooklyn team, but the Bucks bounced back with authority against the slumping Hornets on Monday.

Mike Budenholzer’s group fully proved why they’re the defending NBA champions, putting up 130 points and receiving a phenomenal all-around effort from the first unit. By no surprise, Giannis was the main catalyst with 26 points, 16 boards, and six dimes, but he had lots of help. In fact, three of their five starters dropped 20+ points. Efficiency at its finest.

The big turning point in this contest was the second quarter, where the Bucks outscored Charlotte 44-21. That sucked the life out of LaMelo Ball and Co., who couldn’t claw their way back. Milwaukee was also extremely imposing inside, outrebounding the Hornets 62-40. However, the Bucks will be expecting a much tougher game against Miami, who is a fundamentally sound team on both sides of the ball and have given them problems this season.

Heat vs Bucks Prediction

Honestly, it’s a bit surprising that Miami is an underdog here. They’ve put in work against the Bucks and have an 8-2 record against Milwaukee, Chicago, Brooklyn, and Philly combined. Although the Heat isn’t as good on the road as at home, they’re rolling right now. I really like them on the moneyline here. Tons of value.

Pick: Heat +172
