Georgia Betting Outlook

While Georgia isn’t having much successful straight-up, it has been the winning side against the spread in three of its last four games. The Bulldogs are 8-14-1 ATS for the season, including 3-3 on the road.

Sophomore guard Kario Oquendo scored a game-high 25 points Saturday, but Georgia wound up losing a heartbreaker. Auburn’s Wendell Green Jr. scored the winning layup with 3.3 seconds left and Aaron Cook’s long three-point attempt at the buzzer for the Bulldogs was off the mark.

Oquendo also had five rebounds and four steals while notching his sixth game of 20 or more points this season. He leads Georgia in scoring at 13.4 points a game.

Senior forward Braelen Bridges reached double digits in scoring for the sixth time in seven games. He finished with 14 points and seven rebounds.

For the season, Bridges is averaging 12.5 points and 5.9 rebounds.

Junior guard Jaxon Etter added 13 points in just his second double figure game of the season.

Cook nearly had his third double-double of 2021-22 as the senior guard tallied 10 points and nine assists. Cook is second in the SEC and 12th in the nation with 6.0 assists a game. The Gonzaga transfer also has a 10.5 scoring average.

Senior forward Jailyn Ingram is having a solid all-round with averages of 10.7 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.1 assists.

Georgia ranks 282nd nationally in Ken Pom’s adjusted defensive efficiency, allowing 108.1 points per 100 possessions. However, the Bulldogs held Auburn to 39.7% (27 of 68) shooting and 6 of 26 (23.1%) from beyond the arc.

Florida Betting Outlook

Florida failed to cover as 11-point favorites against Ole Miss and is 12-11 ATS overall in 2021-22 and 8-5 at home.

The big news for the Gators was senior forward Colin Castleton made a strong return after sitting out the previous six games with a shoulder injury. He had 17 points, seven rebounds and three blocked shots.

Castleton has been among the best big men in the SEC this season, averaging 15.5 points, 8.9 rebounds and 2.8 blocked shots. He is second in the conference in blocks and field goal percentage (53.4) and third in rebounding.

Senior guard Tyree Appleby had his first double-double of the season with 10 points and 10 rebounds, offsetting his 1-of-10 shooting that included making just 1 of 6 three-point attempts. He has averages of 10.8 points, 4.0 assists and 1.6 steals.

Senior guard Phlandrous Fleming Jr. had 10 points – in line with season average of 10.5 – with seven rebounds, three blocks and two steals. Both steals by the transfer from Charleston Southern came in overtime when Florida outscored Mississippi 14-9.

Florida trailed 30-21 at halftime but rallied to tie the game at 48-48 and send it to overtime. The Gators held the Rebels to 32.8% (19 of 58) shooting and 8 of 29 (27.6%) from long distance, which helped offset Mississippi having a 44-32 rebounding edge despite Castleton’s return.

Georgia vs Florida Prediction
