- The NBA season rolls on Saturday (Feb. 26) with a seven-game slate
- Player props are available to bet for many of the league’s biggest stars
- See below to find out where we think the betting value lies
Saturday brings seven NBA games for us to sweat, and there’s no shortage of value to be found in the player props market.
Both two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo and reigning MVP Nikola Jokic headline the slate, with arguably the league’s hottest player at the moment, DeMar DeRozan, also in action.
DeRozan’s Chicago Bulls face the Memphis Grizzlies in the highest totalled game of the day, and we’re looking to attack DeRozan’s points prop in what should be a fantastic matchup.

Odds as of Feb. 26th at DraftKings
The Grizzlies vs Bulls matchup is currently listed as a pick-em, and is a battle of two of the top-five teams in the NBA. Memphis enters play ranked eighth in defensive rating, but it hasn’t mattered who’s been guarding DeRozan lately, as the 32-year-old has been putting up video game numbers over the past month.
Pick #1: DeMar DeRozan Over 29.5 Points
DeRozan has poured in at least 31 points in nine straight games. He’s reached 35 points in all but one of his past nine contests, and has exceeded 29 points in 13 of his past 17 outings.

His stellar play has rocketed him up the 2022 NBA MVP odds. He’s now a top-five contender at +1300, after opening the season with odds as long as +25000. He’s playing 39 minutes a night and getting off roughly 24 shots per game, and if he sees that type of volume and opportunity again on Saturday, he’s going to reach 30 points.

Also working in his favor, is the breakneck speed at which the Grizzlies play. Memphis is seventh in the league in pace and third in offensive efficiency. If Chicago is going to keep up with the Grizz, as oddsmakers suggest, they’re going to need ramp up their pace which could open up a couple additional looks for DeRozan.

Pick #2: Giannis Antetokounmpo Under 31.5 Points
While DeRozan could see more opportunity than usual on Saturday, don’t expect the same for Antetokounmpo. The Milwaukee Bucks are heavy home favorites versus the Brooklyn Nets, and with no Kevin Durant or Ben Simmons, the defending champs are likely not going to need to lean on Giannis as much as usual.
Nets With Kevin Durant: 24-12
Nets Without Kevin Durant: 7-17But I was told he makes his team worse? 🤥

The Nets have dropped 13 of their past 15 outings, losing nine times by double-digits. Antetokounmpo has scored at least 32 points in three of his past four games, but he needed at least 35 minutes of action in each outing to do so. It’s much more likely he hovers around 30 minutes in a projected convincing victory, which lowers his points projection.
Updated NBA MVP Ladder:
1.) Nikola Jokic
2.) Joel Embiid
3.) Giannis Antetokounmpo
4.) DeMar DeRozan
5.) Steph Curry
6.) Devin Booker
7.) Ja Morant
8.) Luka Doncic
9.) Chris Paul
10.) Jimmy Butler— Hoop Central (@TheHoopCentral) February 25, 2022
In the past five games where Giannis has failed to reach 34 minutes of playing time, he’s fallen short of 30 points each time.
