The Boston Celtics head out West on Wednesday to face a surging Golden State Warriors team, who are back in business following the return of Draymond Green. The tip-off is scheduled for 10pm ET at the Chase Center in San Francisco.

The C’s are one of the hottest teams in the Association, but they’re coming off a slim 95-92 loss to Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks on the weekend. Boston did win five straight prior to Sunday’s game, though. The Dubs, on the other hand, shellacked the Washington Wizards on Monday night behind a 47-point birthday performance from Stephen Curry.

This is the second meeting of the campaign between the two teams, with the Warriors winning 111-107 in December.

Celtics Betting Analysis

Despite the loss to Dallas, Boston is still wreaking havoc on opponents with its stellar defense and well-rounded offense.

They’re 23-9 since the beginning of January while beating numerous good teams along the way, including the Nets, Grizzlies, 76ers, Heat, and other contenders.

The biggest thing for Ime Udoka’s squad has been health. The C’s dealt with numerous absences early on in the campaign which prevented them from finding a rhythm as a group. Now at full strength, Boston is thriving on both ends.

It was a controversial end against the Mavs, but this game was all about defense. Both teams did a tremendous job of containing one another, with franchise stars Jayson Tatum and Luka Doncic barely registering over 20 points apiece.

Spencer Dinwiddie hit a game-winning triple for Dallas, but that was before Jason Kidd challenged an initial Doncic foul call on Marcus Smart. He was set to go to the line to try and tie the game, but officials overturned the foul.

Nevertheless, the Celtics’ entire rotation managed to do their part, with the entire first unit scoring 10 points or more. Jaylen Brown had a relatively quiet night though, dropping just 14.

Boston also shot just 24% from downtown. While the squad is playing well, they own a dismal 17-16 record on the road, with their next four contests away from the TD Garden.

Warriors Betting Analysis

After 29 games missed, the Dubs finally got Draymond back on Monday, and boy was his presence immediately felt. The two-way star is such a crucial piece of Golden State in every way imaginable and Steve Kerr’s squad definitely felt his absence at times, going through one brutal streak where the defense was practically non-existent.

Green played just 20 minutes against the Wizards but he did his thing, scoring six points while grabbing seven rebounds and dishing out six dimes. But the real star of the show was Steph, who balled out for 47 while going 7-for-14 from beyond the arc. Klay

Thompson and Jordan Poole combined for 40 points as well.

The Warriors now boast the best home record in the league at 29-7 with two games left at the Chase Center before hitting the road for five contests. Andrew Wiggins could miss out again here due to an illness that kept him sidelined on Monday.

Rookie Jonathan Kuminga is in line for another start as a result, unless Draymond returns to the first unit already. However, it’s likely Golden State eases him in.

Celtics vs Warriors Prediction

This game should be a real battle. But honestly, the Dubs are practically unbeatable on their home floor. This team is a whole different beast with Green in the mix again and the Celtics aren’t as impressive on the road. Take the Warriors to cover the spread.

Pick: Warriors -4 (-112)
